Stairs are always a topic when Macy comes up in conversation. People who are familiar with our house wonder if we keep her gated or carry her, and people who have not been to our house ask if we have a ranch-style home.
We actually have quite a few sets of stairs, in different materials, no less. We have flagstone outside, wood inside for the main floors, and even a few carpeted steps in the basement.
Macy has no trouble with any of them.
As she likes to be with her people, she travels one particular set of stairs many (many) times a day, trundling along as I move about the house from the first floor:

She can go up and down without missing a step, without touching a wall. She has no trouble with the turns at all.
